What is it all about: WeChat marketing

WeChat marketing is here to stay. With more than a billion users, WeChat is one of the most popular social media in China. Millions Official Accounts have been opened by companies, government agencies, organizations or individuals. Companies, big or small, global or local, are all seizing the opportunities provided by this super app to reach their target audience in China.

 

WeChat marketing helps companies to reach for the Chinese audience, because for many people in China, WeChat is the internet. People can almost handle everything in their daily life without leaving the app. Companies are increasingly shifting their online activities to be WeChat based, from company webpage, advertising, marketing campaign, customer services, e-shops, or utilize the Mini-Program option to develop a company app within WeChat to foster even tighter connections with its target group.

 

As China is strategically important market for Elematic, the company decided to establish WeChat portal to build Elematic’s brand in China, have better communication with the customers and help to reach more potential customers. Instead of developing a Chinese webpage for the company, Elematic choose to put the effort in building an Official Account on WeChat.

What did we do: Started WeChat marketing by setting up a WeChat Official Account with relevant content

  • Help Elematic to analyse the possibilities provided by Chinese social media and evaluate the options.
  • Set up a WeChat Official Account for Elematic.
  • Layout the structure and plan the basic content for Elematic WeChat Official Account.
  • Provide consultations to Elematic,
    • what are the options and possibilities for customer service and promotion
  • With regular WeChat posts
    • provide professional language assistance in content editing and proofreading
    • an eye for detail on posts’ visual appearance according to Elematic’s Visual Guidelines

What was achieved: A successful start for WeChat marketing and a two-way direct communication in China

  • Elematic now has an official portal in China for a two-way direct communication with its customers and the market in China.
  • Steady increase in the account follower.
